Our Story
Formed in 2006, Eagle Valley Search Rescue and Recovery
Team is a group of highly trained individuals with experience
in emergency medicine, fire/rescue, wilderness search
and rescue, urban search and rescue, disaster response,
technical rescue, and emergency management. We saw
the need for an emergency response team in our area that
would complement, not duplicate existing services.
Located in Northeast Pennsylvania and Central New York,
we are available free of charge to any requesting agency
Eagle Valley Search Rescueand Recovery Team searches for lost and missing persons, and for people trapped or missing as the result of natural or manmade disasters. We Provide professional search, rescue, recovery operations and manage ment resources free of charge to communities in need. Team members are all non compensated professionals, certified to the ighest recognized standards available in their particular disciplines.
Our Record
October 2006, Hawley PA- EVSRRT Operations Chief leads
successful search for resident found injured but alive after
tramatic fall.
October 2006, Hector NY- EVSRRT K-9 team joins in
search hosted by NY State Police and the New York Dept. of
Environmental Conservation.
Month Year- EVSRRT founding member helps PA State Police;
trailing dog successfully locates drowning victim in (name of
town)
Month Year- EVSRRT founding member assists PA State Police
in search for missing student.
August 2006, Louisiana- EVSRRT responds to
Katrina, providing medical services while conducting and
managing searches
March 2005, Hancock NY- founding members save the life of
student from area boarding school. Emotionally distraught, the
student ran through deep snow into a wilderness area but was
recovered only hypothermic with severe frostbite.
September 2001, NYC and DC- Founding members of EVSRRT
part of the search and recovery efforts in both NY and the
Pentagon.
Response Area
Our team will respond anywhere but our primary response areas are: Delaware, Broome, Sullivan & Ulster Counties in New York, and, Wayne, Pike, Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties in Pennsylvania.

- Planning:
We are always willing to share what we know and to learn from others. Part of our mission is to contribute to the advancement and dissemination of search, rescue and recovery techniques and procedures. We can be a resource as you develop and update emergency response plans for your area.
- Demonstrations:
Eagle Valley is available for demonstrations at schools and public events.
- Training:
We welcome opportunities to meet and train with related organizations: fire/rescue, dive teams, technical rescue, etc.
